Welcome to Doc's Candles!
Doc’s Candles began in 1997 as a hobby of Filipino doctor-painter, Dr. Marichu Liwag. She learned the craft through reading numerous books and have been perfected the art of candle-making ever since. Aiming for perfection, she created her own designs, style and color patterns.
In 1999, Danish Morten Carstensen joined forces with Dr. Liwag combining marketing, customer service and development of new designs. Doc’s Candles now employs over 100 workers.
Doc’s Candles exports go out to over 20 countries worldwide some of which sells the product under their own brand. Local wholesale is done in form of corporate gifts and specialized projects such as weddings where they are also considered to be the trendsetter. Their 4 retail stores and franchises along with 10 concessionaires in Robinsons Department Stores helps keep them busy year round.
Doc’s Candles is the # 1 in terms of retail in the Philippines with many awards received to this effect from various institutions. We offer wax products you have surely not seen before, our hand carving and techniques are envied by almost as many who have tried to copy us!
